Christmas Chocolate Spoons

I have always adored chocolate spoons. When I was 10 my parents took me to a local candy shop in Round Rock, Texas where I first spotted a chocolate spoon. I had never seen them before and I thought they were ever so elegant. I am now 34 and still think of chocolate spoons when a special occasion arrives.

Christmas Chocolate Spoons

They are easy to make too, perfect for parties and as gifts.
Stir in coffee, hot chocolate, or a warm glass of milk and enjoy!

What you need:
chocolate chips for melting
(I use Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate Chips)
festive sprinkles
crushed peppermint
heavy duty plastic spoons

Directions:
Melt chocolate according to the package directions. Then prop spoons up so they are level.

I used a beveled round plate and it work perfectly.

Chocolate Spoons

Drizzle a heaping teaspoon of melted chocolate in the spoon. Then gently shake the spoon back and forth until the chocolate smooth's out.

Then use festive sprinkles to decorate, I also used crushed peppermint. Refrigerate spoons until chocolate has hardened.

Enjoy!
