Simple Honey and Oat Granola

When I smell granola cooking I know school is in session and fall is on the way! Granola is a great way to start the day. Top your favorite yogurt, prepare it as you would cereal, or just simple eat it by the handfuls. Homemade granola does not last long around here, so you better get some while you can!

Simple Honey and Oat Granola

Ingredients:
4 cups old fashioned oats
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/3 cup honey
3 TBS coconut oil, melted
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt

Combine oats, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a large bowl. In a separate small bowl combine honey, oil, vanilla, and salt. Combine all ingredients in the large bowl and mix well. Spread on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Cook at 350 for 30 minutes or until granola is toasty, stirring half way through. Let granola completely cool and store in an air tight container.

Enjoy this granola sprinkled on top of your favorite yogurt and topped of with dark chocolate chips!
